The Church (capital “C”) is an interesting study. Anyone who cares to study her history sees twenty centuries of ups and downs, good and bad. Even before the ink was dry on the apostolic letters in the first century, changes were taking place in the Church. From one city to the next, the Church took on different flavors. The Ephesian church differed from the Corinthian church which was different than the Macedonian church. The gospel did not change but the way church was done did change. The same climate of change has been unfolding in the present-day church over the past couple of decades. By the way, this phenomenon is not an American thing, I see it first-hand happening in various parts of the world. I, for one, do not view this as a negative thing. It is my opinion that change is needed as much now as in the sixteenth century when Martin Luther set the Church on her ear and launched an ecclesiastical revolution. One of the most notable changes I am seeing is in the number of pastors and church leaders who are seeking something different in the Church. Yesterday’s ways and methods seem outdated and irrelevant to them, which has caused an astounding number to abandon organized religion. These people have not abandoned Jesus but they want more from church than what they find in most churches on most street corners in most towns and cities. What we are seeing, in my estimation, is a meltdown of religion in the Church of Jesus Christ. I applaud that meltdown! Religion has no place in the family of God. His family was built on covenant relationship not on religion, which includes unscriptural church traditions and doctrines of men. One thing we are trying to do within Covenant Global Ministries is to provide a church home for all Christian fivefold ministers. This provides a safe place spiritually where you can have a pastor who is there when you need him and who is a spiritual covering for you. It is an anointed place to receive teachings from the Bible to help develop you spiritually into mature disciples for Jesus Christ. It is a family that is there to pray with you, stand with you in tough times, and love you unconditionally. Covenant Global Ministries is a good place to be. Covenant Global Ministries is a place where you will want to sow your tithes and offerings into. Why? Covenant Global Ministries is “good ground” that is producing much fruit for the Kingdom of God. Working together, we are making a difference around the globe. Praise God! Pastor or church leader, if you are searching for more and want a church home, contact me. I want to be there for you and I am happy to answer questions or assist you. Receive my blessing. |
