Ministries
... a worldwide family of ministers
The apostle Paul calls the Church the “Body of Christ.” The human body is actually a combination of many parts or
members with each one having a specific role to play. (Romans 12:3-8, I Corinthians 12:12-31, Ephesians 4:11-16)
Each of the members of the Body of Christ as we know ha
s a specific role to play as well. This is true at the personal
level
with the local church and it is also true at the corporate level with churches and ministries operating in the
worldwide Church
.

You, as a church leader, function individually within the local church setting. You interact with the saints in a
coordinated effort to fulfill the plan of God for that local fellowship. Working together you all labor as one to
accomplish what God intended. You also operate at the corporate level as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, or
teacher within the larger context of the Body of Christ. Just as it important to be connected individually to your local
church family the same is true of being connected within the universal Church. The apostolic sphere is the means
God has set in place for this to happen. (II Corinthians 10:13-16)

The apostolic sphere is a spiritual family of Church leaders. Whereas the local church is comprised of the saints,
the apostolic sphere is comprised of fivefold ministers. The saints in the local church are led by the pastor of the
church; the apostle is the head of the apostolic sphere. Within the apostolic sphere God appoints His apostle to
function in a pastoral role to the fivefold ministers who are called by God to that sphere of ministry. Essentially this
becomes
"their church" and they have a pastor.

Covenant Global Ministries is an apostolic sphere. God birthed this ministry in 1981 and has been developing it
over these many years with wonderful men and women of God from many different nations. We are evangelical
theologically, so any minister who loves Jesus and believes the Bible is the Word of God is welcome in our
fellowship. There is no manual to abide by nor is there a creed to endorse. Our common bond is love for our
brethren. Our mutual purpose is to perpetuate the covenant of God, to disciple believers, to advance His Kingdom,
and to win the lost for Jesus Christ.

The majority of our members pastor independent churches or operate in leadership within a non-denominational
ministry. Their heart’s desire is to be ‘connected’ and feel they are a part of the whole of the Body of Christ. Many
favorably comment on how good it is to have a pastor and how their church/ministry has thrived since joining
Covenant Global Ministries. Good things happen when you are connected.

I have one final note about being an independent church or ministry. An apostolic sphere differs from a church
denomination in several distinct ways. Each church or ministry within an apostolic sphere is fully independent and
remains self-governing and self-sufficient. There is no interference from the apostle in the internal affairs of the
local church. The vision for that church was given by God to the pastor/leader and therefore the church/ministry
remains autonomous within the apostolic sphere under his leadership. The apostle stands ready to give counsel,
training, and guidance as requested from the pastor or ministry leader.

Contact me if you have questions or if you desire to align yourself with Covenant Global Ministries. We will seek
the face of the Lord together about your alignment. Above all, I want you to know you are welcome here.
